BRADLEYBOY MAC ARTHUR ANNOUNCES EASTERN TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF ELLIOTT BROOD
Vancouver, BC – October 7, 2011 – Acclaimed one-man band blues talent Bradleyboy Mac Arthur has just announced a series of live dates in support of
Elliott Brood in Eastern Canada. Please see below for further details.
It has been a busy year already for Mac Arthur. Earlier this year, he released his primal live-off-the-floor new album, Salt Gun (Awesome Music / EMI), which was met with praise from coast to coast, and gave the Canadian music scene the ass whupping it deserved with his uncompromising and unique blend of raw rhythms and blazing emotions.
“Mac Arthur is helping give the rather staid Toronto, ON blues scene a much-needed adrenalin boost. This is blues stripped-down and naked, dirty, primal, raw, and clearly indebted to punk rock.” – Exclaim!
“Thump, thump and oompah. Can’t call Salt Gun a pure blues album, if anyone has grown accustomed to smooth, if predictable ,12 bars and dazzling musicianship. This is much rougher ….. It stomps along like a one-man band and is full of character and grime.” – The Province
This August, Mac Arthur was crowned the winner of the Toronto Blues Society Talent Search, beating out strong competition from other talented players. He was then featured on the cover of the Toronto Star’s Entertainment section – a rare opportunity for a one-man Blues sensation from Orono, Ontario!
Next, on October 30th, Mac Arthur will be the only blues artist to play the NFL Tailgate Party in Toronto (featuring the Bills vs. Redskins).
Don’t miss your next chance to witness Bradleyboy live in the flesh.

MICHAEL JACKSON LIVES ON WITH NEW TRIBUTE SINGLE SET FOR RELEASE ON AUGUST 29TH, 2010
It’s not everyday one gets to pay tribute to a legend, but when the first recording of “I’ll Live On” came across record executive Steve Popovich Jr.’s desk, he knew he had something special. The song, first written as a country demo, seamlessly conveyed the poignant feelings of loss and hope, and with friend, former Attic Records President Al Mair, the track was given new life…and a new purpose.
Hearing the song as an anthem to pay homage to a life lost brought one person to mind for Steve Popovich Jr., Michael Jackson. In 1974, Steve’s father, Steve Popovich Sr. (owner of Cleveland International Records of Meatloaf, Bat Out of Hell fame), was working as VP of A&R for Epic Records. During that time, Steve Sr. was responsible for signing such celebrated acts as Boston, Cheap Trick, Tom Jones and several of the Jacksons, including Michael. Having this intimate connection to the pop icon led Steve Popovich Jr. to these thoughts:
"I first heard the song, 'I'll Live On' about six years ago from the writer, a dear friend, Linda Hargrove. Linda is a great, great songwriter, whose songs have been recorded by many Country artists over the years. At the time she sent me the song, it lyrically had nothing to do with Michael Jackson. The song was originally based on her own experience of losing somebody close. When I first heard it, it gave me goose bumps. It was very powerful and its message is universally heartfelt! In my opinion, it's one of the greatest chorus' ever written in modern music. It doesn't matter what country you live, this is a song everyone can relate to. Once I heard of Michael's passing, I called Linda and told her that we needed to change the verses lyrically as a salute to Michael and through her brilliance she was able to accomplish that. In about a week, she had sent me the rewrite and as they say, the rest is history."
Once the song was completed, Awesome Productions and producers James Bradshaw and Jason "Daheala" Quenneville eagerly got on board. The goal was to find the ideal voice to lift the song to the heights it needed to go. Juno Award winning singer Simone Denny was the perfect choice. As part of the platinum selling duo Love Inc., Denny’s richly emotional and powerful vocal stylings instantly took the song from heartfelt to cathartic. Says Denny of the experience, "I owe my love of music to Michael Jackson. He created magic whether on stage or in-studio. Every aspect of Michael Jackson’s career inspired me as a kid to pursue a career in music. It's an honor to have the chance to honour Michael's incredible legacy. What Michael has left with me personally as an artist is a passion and love for music that will never die. Thank You Michael!”
“I’ll Live On” is set to be released digitally on Michael Jackson’s upcoming birthday, August 29th, on Awesome/EMI. A portion of the proceeds from the song will be donated to the Children’s Wish Foundation.

LUCKY BLUNTZ BLING BRITAIN
"(Maybe You’ll Get) Lucky" the new single by The Soundbluntz, makes its British debut on the Music Week (European Billboard) Club Chart and the Pop Chart!!!! This is the highest new entry on both
charts.
Soundbluntz, DJ’s Swet and Lil’ Pete, are veterans of Toronto’s electronic music scene. With a combined 20+ years experience between them, they’ve been spinning at Toronto clubs and producing/remixing classic tracks from some of pop music’s most iconic artists. Swet’s ties include work with legendary Toronto radio DJ Chris Sheppard while Pete helped manage Canada’s #1 DJ Record Pool Bombs N Bass before establishing himself as a renowned producer whose remixing work included artists such as TLC and System F.
With two Juno Award wins, Soundbluntz continue taking dance music to even newer heights with remixes of old-school dance and pop classics on ”Blame The Bling” released in Canada in October 2006. A mix of electro dance-rock infused tracks mixed with down-tempo and vocal house edits sees Soundbluntz capturing and bringing the excitement of dance music well past the club scene and more prominently to the mainstream.
Last November “(Maybe You’ll Get) Lucky” knocked Justin Timberlake out of the top spot to become the #1 single in Canada on the National Club Charts, where it remained for 6 weeks. The video, directed by 6 time MMVA Best Director Stephen Scott, is also received extensive support and rotation via MuchMusic, BPM TV and other video outlets.
